Gallup: Conservatives continue to gain
October 26, 2009As first found in June, the latest Gallup poll shows that Americans who call themselves conservative (40%) continue to outnumber moderates (36%) and liberals (20%). Not only does the conservative ideology continue its dominance but its adherents are increasing, with liberals losing one percentage point and moderates two since the last poll in June while Conservatives have gained three. That’s enough to win elections even with all the Democratic voter fraud.
Gallup’s 2009 surveys indicate a reverse in American political identification from 2005-2008 years when more people identified as moderate. (The number identifying as liberal has remained static throughout the decade.) The last time the conservative group was this numerous was in 2004, when President Bush was re-elected. I sincerely hope the “establishment” Repubs — those who nominate and support RINOS — are paying close attention. Unfortunately, they’ve been pooh-poohing NY-23 (Hoffman and Scozzafava) significance.
